if you haven’t watched the 1992 animated french les mis series i would recommend it it has valjean saving javert from drowning and everyone lives and literally everyone shows up to cosette’s birthday party at the end i give it 5 stars

I was wandering around my local sally anne and found this vintage copy of The Sign of the Four.  Thought I lucked out totally since I collect vintage and quirky books.

It was way more awesome than I expected:

This 1915 copy of the story is done entirely in shorthand.

Edit: It also only cost me two dollars.
